Springtime postcards from Sicily

I’ve been spending my Easter break here in Sicily with friends and family trying to find a spark of energy to keep me going after a particularly devastating start to the year.

I’m slowly getting back into things, trying to find a new routine.

Easter for me was about day trips to the Nebrodi Mountains at Longi and to Biancavilla, Catania.

I got a few good photos, I’d like to share with you.

Here are some postcards from Sicily.

Longi is a tiny mountain village perched literally on a precipice with one road in and one road out in Messina Province.  © Rochelle Del Borrello 2019

On the way to Catania is it obligatory to stop at Santa Domenica Vittoria for the best pannini you’ll ever eat in Sicily. © Rochelle Del Borrello 2019
Italian doors are always so fascinating, this one at Santa Domenica Vittoria, Catanai is no different.

  1. Lovely to hear from you Rochelle.
As you probably know, time does heal and, from what I have seen from your Instagram posts I hope you were able to spend quality time with your Dad when you were recently in Perth.
I wish you and your family all the best.
    Warm regards

    1. Thanks 🙂 I’m doing my best to continue on, blogging makes me happy and I’m sure no one wants me to stop.
