My favourite old photos

I’ve fished out some old family photo’s which are particularly dear to me, they are so wonderful and filled with character that I simply have to share them with everyone on Talking in Tongues.

These are all of my great aunts, my grandmother will all of her sisters and my great grandmother when my great grandfather was away fighting in the Spanish Civil War. I love this picture for the way it subtly reveals the characters of each of the girls, it really talks to you doesn’t it.

Here is my father in law during his military service, what a charming looking man, may god bless his soul in heaven.

Here are three generations of my mothers family. There is my great grand mother, grandmother and that’s my mother standing on the stool. (I hope mum can forgive me for posting this picture, as I know she hates it, but hey it’s a great family picture!)

And finally here is an adorable picture of my husband when he was a little kid, he looks like one of the lost boys from Peter Pan.

Aren’t old photo’s so expressive?
