I love to look at old black and white photos they are so suggestive, especially when the photo has something to say about your own personal family history.
Flicking through photos that are connected to yourself help reveal precious snippets of your own personal past.
I’m a believer that our genetic history is passed onto each of us, that is the experiences of your own ancestors has an impact your current point of view or world view. How else can we explain visiting a new place and suddenly feeling connected to it.
I get a tremendous kick out of seeing some aspect of myself or of other close relatives in old pictures that speaks to me or tells and intriguing story.
The past is a tremendous font for hidden stories and I always try to listen to it with the right amount of respect in the hope it will inspire me.
